Introduction
The BlackWasp Number To Words component solves the problem of converting numeric data into its spoken word equivalent. The component is an extension of the functionality described in the "Convert a Number into Words" article.

Numeric Type Support
The component supports many types of input data to allow conversion of both integer and decimal numbers.
Style-Based Conversion
The component provides several preset styles for conversion of numbers, digit series and currencies. These styles can be used out-of-the-box for the quickest implementations. They can also be modified using over twenty customisable properties or new custom styles can be created.
Customisable Elements
The properties of styles that can be customised include:
- the names of digits, tens, hundreds and scale numbers (thousand, million, billion, trillion, etc.)
- special number case text for exact conversion of two and three digit numbers.
- editable positive and negative number prefixes.
- separate number conversion types for natural numbers and digit-series for integer and fractional parts.
- controllable separators and suffixes for number groups.

.NET Framework Support
The BlackWasp Number To Words component is developed completely in managed C#.NET. To use the component in your applications or to compile the source code you will need the .NET Framework version 2.0 or newer.
Available Versions
There are two versions of the component available for purchase. The basic download includes all of the redistributable components. For more advanced users, the second version includes the source code for the component to allow further development and modifications. With either version, you may incorporate the compiled component in your own software, either for commercial purposes or otherwise.
